Started by Megha Bafna, who also works from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at a real estate company, KGS started by investing an initial investment of Rs 3,500 with six clients. Today, it has more than 350 customers a day, including doctors and children, with an average monthly profit of Rs 5 lakh.


“After undergoing leg surgery while in Class IX, I lay in bed for 18 months. It taught me the importance of good health. As an adult, I wanted to start a business in the health sector because I know healthy people want healthy food. But the problem is that this is not easily accessible. You can easily find junk food near offices and schools. I thought that if people started getting salads and soups easily from their desk, they would not want to eat unhealthy foods, ”said Bafna, who loves salads.


“When I was making salads with my tiffin, my colleagues loved it. When I couldn't get a salad, I wished there were options for a ready-made salad, ”he said. This aroused the idea of ​​KGS. When he tested the water in 2017, "the response was so positive that it surprised me". The following year, Bafna registered the company.

“I have worked to eradicate the notion that life is meaningless. I make sure the healthy ones are delicious, full of different flavors and freshness. My calculations were that the salad business would attract the labor industry, but then I started getting orders for accommodation, ”said Bafna. KGS, which has a workshop in Swargate, has also opened franchises in Pimpri-Chinchwad and Faridabad in Delhi, and is finalizing the opening in Chennai.


"I do not have a business background, so I learned along the way," he adds. He focused on the basics — hygiene and cleanliness as well as new ingredients at 6 a.m. daily. “There are no preservatives. I do not guarantee more than 24 hours. People should eat a salad on the same day, ”he said.
