     Walmart's Group online payment application PhonePe has become the first system in the country to start charging mobile recharges. The digital payment app PhonePe has started charging processing fees in the range of kuye 1 to ₹ 2 for each transaction cost of more than ₹ 50.



The company said it did not charge anything for cell phone reloads of less than R50. For a reload of between R50 and R100, charging ₹ 1 and more than R100 mobile charges, PhonePe customers will be charged ₹ 2.

"For recharges, we use very little surveillance where fewer users pay for mobile recharges. Fees less than ₹ 50 are not charged, re-charges are between ₹ 50 and ₹ 100 are charged Re 1, and more than ₹ 100 charged ₹ 2. In fact, as part of the survey, most users may be paying nothing or paying Re 1, "said PhonePe.

And, like other players, PhonePe also charges for processing credit card payments. However, some transactions on PhonePe and transfers will continue to remain free.

PhonePe has the largest share of UPI transactions between third-party applications. The company had recorded more than 165-crore UPI transactions on its platform in September, closing more than 40% of the mid-app. PhonePe was founded in 2015 by former Flipkart executives Sameer Nigam, Rahul Chari, and Burzin Engineering. The digital payment app has over 300 million registered users.
