Wifi calling - explained | Enable now - YP Buzz Tech

 YP Buzz -

W-Fi calling enables users to make regular calls to low or bad connections with the help of a Wi-Fi network. This service only works if your telecom operator supports Wi-Fi hotspots and the subscriber has a strong Wi-Fi connection. When the network connection is low, compatible calls will use the Wi-Fi network to make regular calls with the registered operator. In India, telecom operators give Wi-Fi calling support, including Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea. Telecom operators do not charge additional fees for this service.

Wifi Calling

The new Wi-Fi hitting service is especially beneficial in low-cost network connections. If Wi-Fi calling is enabled on the smartphone, it will use the connected Wi-Fi network to make standard voice calls. For example, if you are underground and have low network connectivity, but have strong Wi-Fi, you will still be able to make regular voice calls. This service aims to improve the quality of the calls and reduce the incidence of calls. Wi-Fi call service makes calls over VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) instead of VoLTE (voice over LTE) network.

How to enable Wi-Fi hits on Android smartphones

Most recently launched phones are compatible with Wi-Fi hotspots. Users can view this on their phones by going to the Network settings and looking at the option. If the option is not available, the Wi-Fi call is not compatible with the phone. Follow the simple steps to enable Wi-Fi hits on Android phones.

Go to the settings menu on your Android smartphone. Navigate to the Networks section (This may be called the Networks section or Mobile Networks).

In the Networks section, go to Wi-Fi preferences and click on Advanced.

Check out the option called Wi-Fi Calling. If you have two SIM cards inserted in the phone, users can decide which number to allow. Subscribers can also enable you on both numbers.

For some phones, the Wi-Fi hitting option is offered directly in the networks section, without the need for in-depth depth in the Advanced section. The method may vary slightly depending on the OS skins of different Android phones.

How to enable Wi-Fi hits on iPhone

On the iPhone, Wi-Fi hotspots can be easily activated as long as the communication operator supports you. Follow the steps outlined below.

Navigate to the settings menu on the iPhone. Click on the phone.

Click Mobile Data> Wi-Fi Call (This will only appear if your telecom operator supports the app)

Toggle "Wi-Fi hitting on this iPhone". When Wi-Fi hits are available, you'll see Wi-Fi behind your network company name in the status bar. Then your calls will use Wi-Fi hitting.
