Demand for IT professionals has grown by 400 percent, says a job search site in India in a report analyzing the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the Indian job market. The demand for skilled technical professionals including Application Developer, Lead Consultant, Salesforce Developer and Site Reliability Engineer grew by 150-300 percent between January 2020 and February 2021, becoming the most sought-after roles.


In addition to adding new talent to their employees, companies also offer higher salaries compared to last year. According to a report by India India, IT companies are offering a pay rise of 70-120 percent for full-time engineers. In previous years, wage increases were between 20-30%.


In addition to that, Indian IT majors Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro and Infosys are planning an aggressive hiring in India. TCS recently announced its massive recruitment campaign for women coaches looking for job opportunities behind the gap.
