The research site states that two of these apps are paid apps that users need to purchase. While users had to pay $ 12.99 (₹ 966 approx.) To download Crypto Holic - Bitcoin Cloud Mining, they had to pay $ 5.99 (₹ 445 approx.) Downloading Daily Rewards for Bitcoin - Cloud-based Mining Program.

Here's how to identify a fake crypto mining app :

1. Carefully read app updates: Fraud apps will receive multiple 5-star updates once they are released to the public. Pay close attention to 1-star updates.

2. Try to enter an invalid or incorrect cryptocurrency wallet address: Trend Micro states that if a user enters an invalid wallet address and the app accepts and can perform tracking functions, there is a good chance the app is fraudulent.

3. Restart the application or phone while in the mining process: If the device is restarted after the start of mining and the mining application is executed in the background, the system will forcibly remove the counter, reset to zero.
