Vegetarian Fish after veg chicken ?? - YP Buzz

 YP Buzz -

Forget veggie burgers, fake bacon, and oat cheese. At least for vegans, alternatives to meat and dairy products have long been in vogue. Alt-fish - plant-based foods that mimic the taste and texture of fish, or real fish tissue enriched with cellular cells - are the next big thing.

As a behavioral investigator, I have long understood that decisions about what we eat are linked to certain conversations. And, although common, the arguments against eating real fish are very different from those of the world's wildlife.

The principles of good philosophy are divided between those who approach the news by starting with full goals, such as the task of reducing suffering and maintaining as many species as possible, and those who use aid statistics that set aside ideas of right and wrong and instead measure competitive interests, with one goal left.

Debates on the eating of meat and dairy products involve both types of arguments. But there is a broad consensus that farm animals have interests and may suffer and that, on the other hand, farming is a very important part of human society. While the ancient thinkers including Pythagoras and Plato promoted the morality of vegetarian diets, in Plato's ideal Republic, healthy foods would consist of grain, seeds and beans, fruit, milk, honey - and fish.

The Bible also includes shaking the heads of most people by not eating vegetables. The animals in the Garden of Eden were introduced as beloved companions and their execution was recorded only after Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit.

This prompted fourth-century Archbishop of Constantinople John Chrysostom to attack "meat slaughtering and meat cutting" and "its foul smell." With fish, however, the Bible takes a different approach. Jesus multiplied five loaves of barley bread and two fish as a meal for 5,000 people.
